At long last here are picutres for the last post. I met a guy from Raleigh (business major at Appalachian) Who let me use his computer. All these photos were taken with my cell phone.
The Great Wall! It really is amazing. To be on something you've heard about your whole life is a very surreal feeling.
Picture of a guard tower taken from a guard tower.
Here are the boys I went with. Luke (unc hat) his brother Robin (beside him) and Peter (his cousin) facing away.
Of, course, proof that I was here. The part behind me goes straight up a mountain and into the clouds. The whole wall follows the landscape rather than cutting into making a the walk into more of a hike.
The mountains that surround Beijing on three sides that you can't see in the city do to air pollution. You can't even see the end of the street.
And going back.
A big statue of Mao at the Science and Technology School. Where Judo and Taekwondo are held.
The boxing arena. In front is an NB interview with Demetrius Andrade, an American 20 year-old who is now in the semi finals. I got to meet him after the fight. Nice guy, kind of cute.
Then after boxing we went to KTV Party World. A karaoke place. But unlike the US it looks like this and has catering.
The group. Only four of us stayed till 6:00am though.
